You know what really sucks? I am trying to find an imported version of the game for Playstation or Windows but I am having absolutely no luck. I tried looking on Y! and Ebay but I had no luck. I want to own that game, goddamnit! >=O

I do it through Animation Shop 3 (which comes with Paint Shop Pro 7). It can open AVI files, if you can see divx, you can open those avis (because you have the codec)
the hard point is open the exact frame (as far as it won't be able to load completely a DIV-x movie into memory) it must be opened by chunks. Then, you can edit it with the program that you want. And that's all.
When i had my Jura, or my Misty avs, i did that to get the images.

That was the way she was portrayed in the dubbed version, she's really not that ditzy-like in the japanese version.

I need some tip for my av. I made one different than the current one, but its size was just too big for modem users, even when it was in 32 color. When I cut it down to 16, it looked too faded. How do I make the gif smaller in size without killing the resolution?
...Dammit, i don't have that program anymore. Oh well, i've got a new, better av now. ^_^

As a recomendation.. do not use animated avs!... They are just too big.
Oh well, now more serious.
I see the size of the letters somewhat big. besides that it uses a great ammount of frames to make the fading in-fading out. In that meaning, only 2 frames of fading are enough to make a good one (may be it is not that fluid, but uses less memory)
And if you make the frames use the minimal time possible, it even can be seen fluid. (For example, only 8/100 or 10/100 of second...) If you play them at that speed, you can have the illusion that it is a fluid animation.
Also you should try to avoid dithering (or at least, random dithering). It makes the diferences between frames too excesive.
Animated Gif only saves the difference between frames, not the full frame, so, if you keep those diferences as small as possible, the size of the animated gif decreases.
16 colors is not the only way to decrease the size of an animated gif. Much of the time, the memory you save reducing the colours is wasted because of the dithering, producing the oposite result.
And some pictures are just too complex to be compressed in gif in a reasonable size, but i think that this is not the case. Complex backgrounds kills the compresion.
So, the points are:
-Keep diferences between frames to the minimal It helps to this using a little size of the font.
-Try to avoid dithering. Adds random noise that increases the diferences between frames.
-Little amount of colours is not the only way to reduce a gif's size.
Most of mine were always of 64 or even 128 colours, but had minimal diferences between frames! (eye blinking...) And i did them in 80x80 pixels.
And! as a payment for this av. optimizing classes, you have to tell me links to good pictures like that! [img]wink.gif[/img]
